It's finally FALL!

Fall is my FAVORITE season! The crisp cool evenings and the leaves changing; along with drinking hot apple cider and putting pumpkin spice all throughout the house! Anyways...

I have decided to create a spelling choice board for the month of October. My students do well with spelling throughout the week but it seems like when they go to write the words after that specific week they can't. I decided to let them choose what kind of activities to study at home giving them a little bit of choice in their learning. Hope you enjoy this FREEBIE! Let me know how it works in your classroom!

Reading Centers are in Full Swing!

Today I began utilizing reading centers throughout my reading class. My co-workers and I have bought all of the units from Stuckey in Second that coordinate with our Treasures reading series. Her units are awesome and I encourage you to go check out her blog at:

She includes word sorts, different centers that go along with each weekly skill and writing prompts for the Main Selection along with the leveled books for each story! My students get so excited when I say we are going to be working in centers today!

Fall Into Main Idea and Details! (FREEBIE!)

This interactive cut and paste activity would be perfect for a center or partner work! It focuses on Main Idea and Details with 7 different fall topics! I've included a FREEBIE in the preview. Different topics include:
Johnny Appleseed, Spiders, Halloween, etc.

F is for Fall!

My favorite season is Fall. I love watching the leaves change, drinking Pumpkin Spice coffee and pulling out the comfy sweaters. One of the other things I love is books! I was in Cincinnati this weekend for a wedding and stopped at a target and of course had to buy books for my classroom (you can never have enough in my eyes!)

One of the books I bought was Pippa the Pumpkin Fairy. These books are adorable especially for girls! There are 3 others including Camilla the Cupcake Fairy, Annie the Apple Pie Fairy, and Lola the Lollipop fairy! My girls love to read these because of the bright illustrations, so the Pippa the Pumpkin Fairy will go perfect with my Pumpkin activities! On the other hand, the boys in my classroom love Splat the Cat so I had to buy that book! I'm so glad they continue to create new books to add to each of these series!

You Have to Start Somewhere!

Hello Bloggers!

I'm Tiffany Strong and this is my second year teaching Second Grade. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was 8 years old. I attended Wright State University and obtained my bachelors in Early Childhood Education.

I have wanted to start a blog for a LONG time now so I figured I might as well try it. I love doing interactive activities in my classroom such as centers, interactive notebooks, and workshop activities. I hope to share many activities from my own classroom as I have gotten many ideas from fellow teacher's blog.

I have a Teachers Pay Teachers website as well and you can access it here:
